The All-New 2026 Toyota RAV4
Hybrid on Every Trim. Starting at $31,900.
It's Not Just a Refresh — Toyota Started From Scratch
We had expected some enhancements for the 2026 Toyota RAV4, but what's coming is far more than that. The changes for 2026 turn out to be a complete redesign to a new sixth generation — not the minor updates we would expect before a 2027 or 2028 RAV4. Gone are the days of the gas-only powertrain. The RAV4 now comes with either a hybrid powertrain or a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The base hybrid comes in at 226 HP with FWD or 236 HP with AWD.
The RAV4 now sports Toyota's “hammerhead” shaped front grille, angular fender panels and sharper body sheet metal, plus two all-new LED signature taillights. Three distinct visual themes: Core, Rugged (Woodland) or Sport (SE/XSE/GR Sport). For the first time, two-tone exterior paint with a black roof is available on RAV4.
Up to 47 MPG City — Your Commute Just Got a Lot Cheaper
The new 2026 RAV4 will achieve up to 47 MPG in the city on the FWD hybrid trim — more than double what comparable gas SUVs currently achieve. Whether that extra savings goes toward shopping at the Village at Santa Fe in Upland or enjoying the Claremont Village on a Friday night, it's yours to keep. Check our current RAV4 specials to see what deals are available this month.
The RAV4 PHEV delivers up to 52 miles of electric driving range after an overnight plug. With the RAV4 PHEV, Inland Empire drivers can enjoy the Clean Air Vehicle sticker in California — sharing the carpool lanes on the 10, 210, and 60 freeways solo.
The Tech Inside Is Just as Impressive as What's Under the Hood
Every RAV4 now comes with 12.3-inch digital gauges and a 10.5-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. XSE, Limited and GR Sport models upgrade to a 12.9-inch display powered by Toyota's new Arene software with Over The Air updates.
The RAV4 Hybrid XLE includes 5 USB-C ports and a 1,500-watt powered outlet in the rear cargo area — perfect for camping at Big Bear or charging gear on the trail. Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 is included on every trim, plus a new Drive Recorder that saves 20-second exterior clips at the push of a button. Our Service Center will walk you through every feature at your first visit.

Five Reasons the 2026 RAV4 Makes Sense for Inland Empire Life
1. Hybrid on Every Trim — Not an Upgrade, Not an Option
Toyota took a different approach for 2026: every RAV4 is now hybrid, period. The base LE starts at $31,900 and delivers up to 47 MPG city. Affordability and efficiency — you get both, right out of the gate. Browse our in-stock RAV4 inventory to see what's available today.
2. Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 — Because the 10 Freeway Is No Joke
Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 is included standard on every single RAV4 trim — automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic alert, and a built-in Drive Recorder. No bundles, no add-ons. It's just there.
3. The PHEV Is a Genuine Carpool Lane Ticket
Up to 52 miles of all-electric range covers most daily drives in the Inland Empire without touching the gas engine. The RAV4 PHEV's Clean Air Vehicle sticker eligibility can cut 20–30 minutes off your commute each way on the 10, 60, and 210. Get pre-approved for financing and see what your monthly payment looks like.
4. 3,500 Pounds of Towing — More Than You'd Expect
Pull a small boat to Lake Perris, haul a trailer of landscaping materials, or tow a pop-up camper to the desert. The Honda CR-V maxes out at 1,500 pounds. Just something to keep in mind.
5. The Woodland Trim Was Made for This Zip Code
Multi-Terrain Select for Mud, Rock, Sand, and Snow. All-terrain tires. Raised ground clearance. Rigid Industries LED fog lights. Fire roads above Claremont, the trails near Mt. Baldy, or a rainy January morning in Rancho Cucamonga — the Woodland handles all of it. PHEV with DC fast charging arrives mid-2026.

Frequently Asked Questions: 2026 Toyota RAV4
The 2026 RAV4 starts at $31,900 for the LE with front-wheel drive. AWD adds $1,400 on the LE, SE, or XLE Premium. The GR Sport PHEV comes in around $49,950. Call us at (909) 625-1500 for current stock, Toyota incentives, and your out-the-door number.
Yes — every RAV4 is now either a standard hybrid or a plug-in hybrid. The standard hybrid charges itself through regenerative braking — no plugging in required. You get 226 HP with FWD or 236 HP with AWD, and up to 47 MPG city. The PHEV gives you 324 HP and up to 52 miles of all-electric driving.
FWD hybrid trims hit up to 47 MPG city / 40 MPG highway. AWD lands at 46 city / 39 highway. The Woodland gets 41 MPG city. XSE and Limited AWD land around 43 MPG city. A typical gas compact SUV gets somewhere in the mid-20s — the savings add up fast.
Seven: LE, SE, XLE Premium, Woodland, XSE, Limited, and GR Sport. The LE, SE, and XLE Premium let you choose FWD or AWD. Woodland, XSE, Limited, and GR Sport all come standard with AWD. The GR Sport is PHEV-only.
It may — and if you're a regular commuter anywhere in the Inland Empire, this is worth paying close attention to. The RAV4 PHEV could qualify for California's Clean Air Vehicle sticker, giving you solo access to the carpool lane on the 10, 60, and 210. Eligibility depends on current CARB guidelines — ask us when you stop by.
To match the RAV4's hybrid efficiency, the CR-V Hybrid costs over $37,000 — more than $5,000 more than the RAV4 LE. The RAV4 starts at $31,900 with hybrid already included, plus nearly doubles the CR-V's towing (3,500 lbs vs. 1,500 lbs) and offers a longer PHEV range (52 miles vs. ~40).
The base gas Tucson doesn't include a hybrid as standard. Once comparing both as hybrids, the RAV4 wins on fuel economy, horsepower, PHEV electric range (52 miles vs. ~33), and towing capacity (3,500 lbs vs. 2,000 lbs).
Multi-Terrain Select (Mud, Rock, Sand, Snow), all-terrain tires, raised ground clearance, and Rigid Industries LED fog lights — yet still a comfortable daily driver. The Woodland PHEV with DC fast charging arrives mid-2026.
A performance-tuned trim built with Toyota Gazoo Racing — the same team behind the GR Corolla and GR Supra. PHEV-only with 324 HP, 0–60 in ~5.7 seconds, GR-tuned suspension, paddle shifters, and aluminum pedals. AWD standard, ~48 miles electric range.
Toyota Safety Sense 4.0 on every trim — automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive radar cruise, automatic high beams, rear cross-traffic alert with automatic braking, and a built-in Drive Recorder that saves 20-second exterior clips automatically.
Meteor Shower, Storm Cloud, Everest, Ruby Flare Pearl, Midnight Black Metallic, Ice Cap, and Supersonic Red — some shades are trim-specific. New for 2026: two-tone paint with a contrasting black roof. Interior colors: Black, Light Gray, or Mineral (Woodland-exclusive).
