Let's see how the 2015 Toyota Camry compares to the Nissan Altima.
When buying a family sedan, safety is a big-ticket item, especially considering all the precious cargo you’ll be carting around town. The 2015 Toyota Camry was tested by the IIHS and passed with flying, fantastic colors and earned itself a 2015 Top Safety Pick+ thanks to ‘Good’ scores on all crash tests and ‘Advanced’ front crash protection features available. The Camry also earned an ‘A’ rating in the LATCH child safety system department – it’s about as easy to use as you can get! The Nissan Altima didn’t score nearly as well in the IIHS’ tests; it earned only an ‘Acceptable’ in the very-important small-front overlap test and offers no front crash prevention systems at all. The Altima was also given a ‘Poor’ rating in the LATCH ease-of-use test. Score one (or, make that two) for the Camry!
These days, car buyers want value, and value is just what you’ll get in the 2015 Camry. Standard features include a six-speaker stereo, a 6.1” touchscreen display, and power-adjustable, heated side-view mirrors on every Camry trim – that’s right, even the base model! Looking for those amenities in the Altima will have you barking up a much pricier tree – Nissan doesn’t offer heated/power mirrors or a touchscreen display in its base model, and you’ll only get four speakers until you move up to a higher trim.
Driving a midsize sedan doesn’t have to mean dealing with mid-size comfort, and the Toyota Camry makes that completely true. To keep your back-seat passengers comfy in the 2015 Camry, Toyota made the Camry extra spacious inside with 38.1” of rear headroom and 38.9” of rear legroom. The Altima will have your brood (or your buds) feeling a little cramped, however, you only get 37.1” of rear headroom and a teensy 36.1” of rear legroom. Feeling the squeeze yet? You won’t have to if you’re driving a 2015 Toyota Camry!View Inventory
